The Dental Whitening procedure can be applied to a set of teeth that are aesthetically compromised or to a single tooth that has been darkened after a treatment o a dental trauma.

Using heat activation or special light, the product that is used for the whitening procedure is capable of emitting H²O² molecules that are capable of filtering through the tooth´s enamel by the dentinary tubules. There are about 15,000 dentinary tubules per mm². In this manner, the internal tissue that gives color to the teeth, suffers an oxidation process and this produces a whitening of the teeth´s tissues. Hence, this is an inside-outside whitening process.

The intensity of the whitening will depend on each patient, the particular color of each patient´s teeth will be studied by the specialist to determine the whitening expectations.
